Graeme’s a local loon who graduated in 2001 from Glasgow and worked across the UK before joining Meadows Vets in 2005. He gained his GP certificate in Equine Practice in 2008. His other interests are dairy cows and small animal orthopaedics. Graeme enjoys spending time with his family and taking a keen interest in the family farm near Strichen.

Ewan is from a mixed family farm in Aberdeenshire. After graduating from Glasgow University in 2011, he started working for Meadows Vets and has been here ever since! Ewan spends most of his time out and about on visits to see cattle and sheep. When not at work, Ewan can be found climbing the Scottish hills with his Collie dog Ness or helping out on the farm at home.

Andy who is originally from Duesseldorf in Germany graduated from the Free University of Berlin in 2006. Shortly after graduating he moved to the UK and worked in a mixed practice in the Midlands before joining Meadows Vets in 2012. His special interest is in small animal medicine and surgery but he also enjoys being out and about on farms as much as he can. In his spare time he enjoys running, live music and travelling.

June is from a farm at Auchnagatt. She carried out her veterinary studies in Edinburgh then came home after graduating in 2017 to start work at Meadows. In her spare time she enjoys walking her Cocker Spaniel Jura and helping on the family farm or her boyfriend’s farm.

JAMES GRACEY – VET

James was born in Northern Ireland and raised on the family farm in Aberdeenshire. He graduated from Glasgow in 2010 before working in Cheshire. He joined Meadows in 2011. James has no spare time after looking after the farm and his 3 kids, but he loves rugby and football when he has the time.

MIRO AHMED – VET

Miro graduated from the Royal Vet College in London in 2016 and has slowly worked her way up North to Oldmeldrum joining the team at Meadows in 2021.

Having learnt early in her career that her interests are in small animal medicine and surgery she is now our in-house small animal only vet. In her spare time she can be found either outdoors enjoying Aberdeenshire or curled up at home with the cats.

Kath joined Meadows Vets in 2021 after graduating from Glasgow Vet School. She is local to the area and is from a farming background. Kath has keen interest in farm practice. In her free time she enjoys hill walking with her two collies and occasionally competing in triathlon.

Captiva joined Meadows in the Summer of 2021 after graduating from the University of Glasgow. She enjoys all aspects of mixed practice but has a particular interest in farm work, equine lameness and small animal surgery. In her spare time she enjoys playing netball, running and exploring the countryside with her dog Bosie.

LEONA ANDERSON – RVN

Leona has worked in veterinary practice since the age of 14, qualifying as an RVN in November of 2018. She completed her top-up degree in veterinary nursing in July 2022 and has just completed a certificate in anaesthesia and analgesia, with the hope of receiving her credentials following a final exam at the end of 2023.
As well as having an interest in anaesthesia and analgesia, Leona also enjoys diabetes management, minor surgery and diagnostic imaging. She also has an interest in herbal remedies, having completed an introductory certificate. She has three pets at home, Ava the golden retriever, and two cats Maverick and Breagha, both of which she took home from work as strays that needed to be nursed and have simply never left!
